Also erst mal hier die Metalrichtungen, hoffe ich vergesse nichts...
Power Metal:
Das ist praktisch das, was ihr gerade gehört habt. Klare, geordnete Musik, einigermaßen klare Stimme. Es kann aber auch bis zum lauthalsigen Gesang gehen, aber die Lyrics sind eigentlichf ast immer verständlich, die Gitarren und Drumsolos sind kontrolliert. Als Bands wären hier Iced Earth, Edguy, Gammaray, etc... zu nennen.
Progressive Metal
Ähnlich wie Power Metal, nur etwas langsamer und noch klarer. Perfekte Musik zum Ausspannen, jedoch eignen sich auch einige Progressive Metal Lieder zum Headbangen.
Die bekannteste Progressive Metal Band ist meines Wissens nach Dream Theater.
Black+Death Metal
jaaaaa, das ist nun der Metal, den ihr euch vorstellt. Lauter Kreisch- oder Grunzgesang, unkontrollierte Drums –und Gitarrensolos, manchmal gar keinen Sinn im Rhythmus, die Lyrics sind sehr schwer zu verstehen. Sicherlich kann man Black von Death Metal unterscheiden, dies mache ich hier jetzt aber nicht, da man in verschiedenen Listen die Bands sowohl bei Black- als auch bei Death Metal finden kann. Es gibt sehr viele Unterkategorien bei den beiden Richtungen und sehr sehr viele Bands. Satanic Black Metal (Bands: Marduk, Kataklysm) Satanic Death Metal (Dimmu Borgir, Cradle Of Filth), Melodic Death Metal (In Flames), Normal Black Metal (Immortal usw...), Viking Death Metal (Amon Amarth, meine Lieblings Death Metal Band)
Speed Metal:
Das ist so eine Mischung aus Power und Progressive Metal, jedoch mit schnellen (aber kontrollierten) Gitarrensolos und fetzigen Stimmen. Die wohl bekannteste Band auf dem Gebiet ist Metallica.
Heavy Metal / New Wave Of British Metal
Das ist die erste Metalrichtung, die es überhaupt gab. Der Heavy Metal beginnt dort, wo der Hardrock aufhört. Bands, die dazu gehören, sind zum Beispiel Judas Priest, AC/DC und Iron Maiden. Da wohl hier jeder Judas Priest kennt, brauche ich darauf wohl nicht weiter einzugehen...
Melodic Metal...
ahhh, meine Lieblingsmetalrichtung. Klarer Gesang, schnelle und langsame Solos, meist noch mit Keyboardeinlagen oder sogar Flöteneinlagen begleitet, manchmal auch Chöre im Hintergrund. Bands: Blind Guardian (meine Lieblingsband!!!), Rhapsody, Nightwish, Stratovarius wohl auch noch.
Naja, das erstmal als Einordnung. Ich habe wie schonmal erwähnt über 60 Bands in meiner List, aber aus den Einordnungen mache ich mir nicht so viel, da sich, wie bereits erwähnt, viele Bands fächerübergreifend sind.
Wie ziehen sich Metaler an?
Meist schwarz, mit nietenbeschlagenen Jacken, und Bandshirts. Lange
Haare. Ich jedoch habe nirgens Nieten (noch nicht, werd ich mir bald mal zulegen, im Sommer wieder). derzeit bin ich lediglich always black dressed, mit Bandshirts und eingermaßen langen Haaren. Wachsen ja noch *g*
Sind alle Metaler Satanisten?
Nein, eigentlich nur die wenigsten. Nur weil es Satanic Black und Death Metal gibt, heisst es noch lange nicht, dass diejenigen, die es hören, auch Satanisten sind. Ich höre es auch und bin kein Satanist. Die meisten Metaler sind, ob ihr es glaubt oder nicht, Odinisten. Deshalb hat sich auch das Genre Viking Metal entwickelt, als Bands kann man hier Amon Amarth und Thyrfing nennen.

eines der intelligentesten Metllieder, die ich kenne, ist "Dante's Inferno" von Iced Earth. Dort wird die Hölle praktisch perfekt beschrieben.
Achtung: In den Lyrics wird nicht Satan angepriesen, also sind Iced Earth keine Satanisten und es gibt keine Satanistischen Inhalte:
