Getting to stay after finishing university - what are my chances?

Hey!

I came to the USA on a student visa to study international business. I still got a couple of years ahead of me, but it never hurts to think in advance.
What are my chances of getting to stay in the US and receiving a green card/citizenship sometime after graduating from college? How does it work? I will have to apply for a job in a firm and they will have to sponsor for the green card?
Is this the usual way or am I thinking too simple?
I will do everything to make my dream of establishing myself in this country come true, just need some help of people who already done it or know about the rules.

it is very unlikely that someone will sponsor you a greencard right away. start looking at the different visa categories first and see which one(s) you qualify for.

after you graduate you can apply for practical training, so you can work or a year. you might be able to confince a company during this time to sponser you either a H1 visun or a GC.

rare case as far as i know since you're lacking the experience in your job. i wsn't able to stay after i graduated.
I would try, maybe you have more luck, do at least your one year OPT

why is international business or business in general very unlikely?

@garfieldshome, what did you do to get to stay? I mean I think that's what happened, since you wrote "at first" you were not able to.

because there are plenty of business majors with us-citizenship or residency. it doesn't exactly require extraordinary talent that would be grounds for a h1-b visa
