I did like soul and r n'b until about 2003 then the whole money, ho's and bitches thing took over and it's getting on my nerves. Now ... I don't know, I guess I'd consider myself mainstream. My husband likes rock so we both often listen to that...All in all...I don't really care for music too much anymore.

well Evi you're right about the whole hip hop movement, it's ridic. !!!
As Hip Hop Activist and Rapper myself i would'nt say good music died, but it's definatly on a good one way there

if you have to happen nerves to listen to some more rap music check out my personal page, i record a track once in a while, and by the way, good rap music with soul is still out there, it's just not on the mainstream (tv's, etc.) U've got to find it

i think music is great, and it's part of our life, as musician, i think we musicians are soul doctors speaking out of people's souls sometimes, but maybe that's just me

I mostly listen to Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Funk, it's the same music I am producing.
I agree with the statement that the whole bi$$hes, hoes, n-word stuff has gotten out of hand and whenever I hear it, I turn it off, I prefer artists who put pride in their music and can do without all that nonsense. (The new chamillionaire album is said to be without any vulgar language, I am yet to hear that!)

But I also like music like Linkin Park, Michael Buble, Lifehouse, Norah Jones, a few country singers and some Latin.
