Follow The Money!
You've gotta love the areas around Military Posts.
I did a check of the amount of money contributed to political parties in the Fort Hood/ Killeen area from private donors. Keep in mind, this isn't special interests, this is straight citizens contributing to their Political Party.
Total Number of Contributors: 72
Number of Democrats: 14
Money from Democrats: $4,745
Percent from Democrats: 17.675%
Number of Republicans: 58
Money from Republicans: $22,101
Percent from Republicans: 82.325%

Listening to Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan, you would think that there would be a huge backlash on the part of Military Families against the Republican Party...right? Y'know, since they sent us to Iraq, and because of the whole pesky WMD thing...
Anyone want to look up their areas? Here's the link: Follow The Dollars
What do y'all think? Why are more people around Fort Hood sending more contributions to the Republican Party? I'm especially interested in how Democrats or Liberals explain the phenomenon (If you can even call it that). If you have any Dems/Libs you know...ask them.
I'm not trying to bait anyone, I am genuinely interested in why this happens.

I don't get what you are trying to proof with that graph. How do you even know that this 58 Republicans are military families. You might could proof something if you show me how much they donated before the whole Irak and WMD thing.

who cares ,i don't even understand the thread or what you are trying to proof .

I'm not trying to "proof" anything.
I just stumbled on the page, thought it was interesting, and wanted to share.
(And if you've ever been in the Fort Hood area, you would realize the VAST majority of people in this area are either former military, military, or closely affiliated with the military. Think "Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon", only with one or two degrees.

i am not sure if that should or does tell you anything .
i mean there are many reasons why to vote for a certain party ,not just Iraq.
i actually wouldn't be suprised if most Military families are supporters of the Republican party .also i don't expect many Military people to question theire service ,which is completly understandable .also ,did the democratic party try to stop the start of the Iraq war ?
there could be tens of reasons for that chart ,but i know there is something beeing overrated .

why not call the thread "why do people do things " and post it in the psychologie sub forum ?
honestly if you just want "commentary that would help explain this" ,why do you have to go there "Listening to Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan,....." ?
