Question!!!!!!

Hello everyone,

i m getting married this summer and i ve got a few visa questions and hope someone will be able to help me.....
I m german and live in england at the moment my future husband is american and stationed in america...

i know a few things when it comes to applying for a visa , i mean about the petition and that .
But what i would like to know is can i stay with him over there while my visa is pending or do i have to leave until i got every bit of paperwork ready ?

if you guys file K1 (fiancee) you got to wait till after approval to go to the states and then get married there within 90 days. if you get married you have to file K3 and return to your country awaiting approval to join your husband. hope i could help.

how long does it take for an approval for the k 3?

could be shorter too

well would the k1 go faster ? what it is he s out in afghanistan for the next year and we wanna get married on his r&r ?
What do u think would be the best way to do it ?

get married in germany or US on r&r and have him file the petition for the K3 before he leaves again. when he's returning you should be able to meet him in the states
you can do the rest of the paperwork from germany at the embassy in FRA

K-3 Visum = 6-12 month, K-1 = 4-8 month and you have to leave the usa.
