I think that is it ok to stick up for what you believe in, but it got out of control...
Before anyone says anything I tried to post this in the political section, but it wouldn't let me.

Heinerle Heinerle, what are you saying.....

@thevivickid
You can post in politics if you have a certain amount of postings (how many I don't know right now). This should keep away the bloggers and trolls. So move your way up in postings, then you can start getting political.

First of all Heiner, I'm AMERICAN!
Born and raised and NOT anti-american. It was a simple question, I said nothing bad about america or its leader so next time think before you type something stupid.Thank you to everyone else, I guess I will keep my questions simple until I move up in the world and so not to offend Heiner or anyone else...

@Ulrich:
Lemme get this straight...being PRO-American is "switching off use of brain."?
I just want to make sure I understood you correctly.

No, that's not what I said.
But being "PRO-American" (*) does also not mean that you have to accept whatever the current administration is telling you as the God-given universal truth and that you have to agree with everything they do. You can still have opposite views and there is nothing wrong with that.
Branding political opponents as traitors or unpatriotic simply because they don't agree with your views and methods rather than discussing the merits of their arguments is polemic at best and not worthy of a democratic society.
So, just because I or anybody else have come to the US, for whatever reason, does not require me/us to give up independent thinking and voicing my opinion. Just like those almost 50% of the voters last year that did not vote for W. or the 60+ percent who today think he's doing a crappy job are not by default any less patriotic or "American" than you.
Is that better?
And as an aside -- I did not see CivicKid's posting as anti-American. He made a statement and invited comment. That's what you do in a political discourse. And that's what a democracy is build on.
(*) Feel free to substitute German, French, Russian, Italian, Chinese, South African, Australian or whatever other nationality for "American". My statement is still true.
