My favorite Army Acronyms

Hallo ihr...hier eine ziemlich vollstaendige Liste von Army Abkuerzungen...ich hoffe sie ist hilfreich.

Ranks/enlisted:
PVT= Private
PV2= Private 2
PFC= Private First Class
SPC= Specialist
CPL= Corporal
SGT= Sergeant
SSG= Staff Sergeant
SFC= Sergeant First Class
MSG= Master Sergeant
1SG= First Sergeant
SGM= Sergeant Major
CSM= Command Sergeant Major
SMA= Sergeant Major of the Army

Other stuff:

The S's are on the staff of a brigade or smaller commander, usually a colonel
The G's are on the staff of a General, usually a Division commander or higher headquarters.
S or G 1 - Administration
S or G 2 - Intelligence
S or G 3 - Plans & Training, Operations
S or G 4 - Supply, Transportation
S or G 5 - Civil Affairs, Military Government
S or G6-Communications and Electronics



p) = promotable
COC- Chain of Command
TM= Technical Manual
FM= Field Manual
AR= Army Regulation
DOD = Department of Defense
DA= Department of the Army
PSG - Platoon Sergeant
PX - Post Exchange (the big store on post)
XO - Executive Officer (the second officer in command basically)
FTX - Field Training Exercise (between 3 days and 30 days in the field, depending on your unit)

NCOIC - Non Commissioned Officer In Charge
OIC - Officer In Charge
CQ - Charge of Quarters
CO - Commander (normally Company level)
BC - Battalion Commander
CTT - Common Task Testing (you'll go over these again during STT normally)
STT - Sergeant's Time Training
